Mommas Secret for Potatoes

by mommahasapottymouth

OK it may not be a secret with all you culinary experts, but it was to me for a long time. I think some things are meant to be shared. This secret is one of them,

So the secret to perfectly roasted ( in the oven, don’t allow me near the grill) is to boil them just so. Ha ha. That really did make me laugh. But really. Boiling until just soft has the most amazing effect on the end result! No more crunchy potatoes! ( Unless you are in to that kind of thing, then you should skip this step)

The next secret I have is for frying potatoes. My DH loves fried tatters, so when I learned this I was so excited. Ya know how no matter how much oil or butter ya use, and how great of a non-stick pan you have they still stick and burn to the bottom of the dang pan? If you soak them in water first, for about 20 minuets they tend to stick less ( and mine don’t stick at all!) !

Yes, I know. You are welcome . These are amazing tips, and I promise you will love me for them!
